AFL Fixture Launch 2016

AFL Teams have once again used ECAL to engage fans with the launch of the 2016 AFL Fixture. With the AFL Fixture creating such great interest around the football community, teams are constantly looking for new ways to engage fans around peak times.

With 16 of the 18 AFL teams using the platform, ECAL launched the 2016 fixture for each of these teams as the league released to the public. The teams used a variety of activities to gain subscribers leading up to the release, including functional ad displays, social media posts, app integrations, eDM's and 'sync to calendar' buttons placed on any news articles.

We worked with these clubs to make sure they made the absolute most of the fixture launch. Many teams sent out a tactical message to existing subscribers, alerting them that they will receive the 2016 fixture directly in to their calendar upon its release.

With over 30,000 new subscriptions from the fixture release alone, the integrated approach that was undertaken by the teams was highly successful.
